Deadly Ponies, a New Zealand leather accessories label, has released their latest collection to coincide with the Together Today seven-hour fashion event.
Designer Liam Bowden took inspiration from the large wall hangings created by German textile artist Anni Albers (June 12 1989 - May 9, 1994) to create Deadly Ponies x Anni Albers. The collaboration with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation has been a year in the making, says a Deadly Ponies spokesperson.
A series of pieces depicting designs inspired by 'Red Meander' (1969) have been silk-screened on to American small-grain Calf and will be available from 5pm today when the Together Today event goes live.
New Zealand designers, retailers and businesses are holding the one-night-only event to help give the fashion industry a much needed "shot in the arm" in the aftermath of the Covid-19 lockdown.
A range of special discounts, gifts with sale and other perks will be offered at the event which can be accessed at www.togethertoday.co.nz.
