“Haute couture must not forget to stay constantly alive, adapted to the needs of every modern woman’s life” – Christian Dior, 1953.
Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris is where the likes of Dior, Chanel and Valentino showcase some of the most beautiful clothes in the world. Haute couture translates as high sewing, and is the art of dressmaking on a luxurious and grand scale. It is little surprise, then, that this particular event is one of the biggest weeks on a fashionista’s calendar. We’ve selected some of our show-stopping favourites.
This past month we have seen Paris, London and Milan put their most fashionable foot forward, and now it’s our turn. On August 22nd, our national talent will take to the runway and wow the country and rest of the world with a line-up including Hailwood, Zambesi, Turet Knuefermann, Twenty Seven Names, Lucilla Gray, and Stolen Girlfriends. We are, as always, expecting to see exceptional garments.
