Like a scene from a movie, bystanders watched admiringly as elegant feet trod with refined steps along the red carpet welcoming Christchurch’s “A” Listers to the grand opening of the Louis Champagne Bar. Victoria Street shivered under the swirl of winter’s breezy breath whilst within, chilled flutes of France’s finest, bubbled and sparkled like jewels set in a heavenly tiara. The tumult of conversation rose to create an hypnotic spell, weaving through the gathering, gladdening hearts as the magic bubbles, gladdened the taste buds. The party was the perfect welcome to this salon of taste and discernment.
